The Chief Officers log book contains sections for the following daily entries: – Accidents to crew or vessel, damages and all unusual circumstances. – The time each day of commencing to load or discharge. – Details and duration of any delays on account of weather or otherwise. – Time of finishing work each day. – Quantity of cargo loaded or discharged each day. – Names of each day’s tallymen. – By whom winches have been run, i.e. crew or shoremen.
